1 lb. lean ground beef 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/2 c. grated Swiss cheese 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1 lg. egg, beaten 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. chopped parsley BISCUIT DOUGH: 2 c. all-purpose flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1/3 c. salad oil 2/3 c. milk Cook and stir the meat and onion until the meat is no longer pink. Allow it to cool while you mix the biscuit dough. Add milk and oil all at once to the mixture of flour, baking powder and salt. Stir with fork until mixture cleans sides of bowl and rounds into a ball. Knead 10 times without additional flour. Divide in half. Roll out 1/2 between 2 sheets of wax paper. Place the dough in a 9 inch square pan. Roll out second half of dough. Add cheeses, egg and seasonings to meat and spread this mixture over dough. Cover with the second half of rolled dough. Brush with 1 slightly beaten egg yolk. Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes. |
