CINNAMON WALNUT ROLLS
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 c. butter
3 oz. cream cheese
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 to 4 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. softened butter

Combine walnuts, brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside. In a medium mixing bowl mash butter and cream cheese together until almost smooth. Add flour and salt. Use fork to lit cheese mixture into flour until pieces are the size of small peas. Add water 1 tablespoon at a time and toss with fork until all flour is moistened and mixture starts to form a ball. With your hands, gently shape into a ball and flatten slightly.

On a lightly floured surface roll dough to a 12 x 9 inch rectangle. Spread with softened butter. Sprinkle with walnut mixture. Roll up from long side jelly-roll style with seam side down. 1/2 inch from the end, cut almost all the way through the roll. Move knife over 1/2 inch and cut all the way through the roll to cut off piece. Lay piece cut side down on greased baking sheet. Move top piece over about 1 inch so you can see both spirals. Repeat cutting and shaping with remaining dough. Bake in 425 degree oven for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire rack. Makes 12 rolls.
