1 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 egg
2/3 c. applesauce
2 1/2 c. Bisquick baking mix
1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon or allspice
1 c. raisin
2/3 c. chopped nuts

Mix brown sugar, butter and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until light brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet; cool. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
