OLD FASHIONED EGG NOG 
12 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
12 egg whites
1 qt. half and half
1 pt. heavy cream, whipped
Nutmeg

Beat yolks with sugar until thick and lemon colored. Add salt and whites; beat until stiff. Stir half and half into yolk mixture; fold in whites and cream. Chill 1 hour. Stir and serve; top with nutmeg.
