2 lbs. ground beef 2 lbs. hash browns 2 cans tomato sauce (8 oz.) 1 can tomato sauce (6 oz.) 1 c. water Green pepper Onion Salt Pepper Basil 1 lb. cheese, sliced Brown meat, add peppers and onions. Then add other ingredients, except cheese. Put half of mixture in 13 x 9 inch casserole. Top with cheese, add rest of mixture. Bake, covered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove, add rest of cheese. Let stand 5 minutes. | |

We love this cheesy recipe. However, the directions here are missing essentials: hash browns are Southern style thawed; the 6 oz. can is tomato paste; green pepper is 2 cups; onion is 1 cup; salt is 1 tsp; pepper is 1/4 tsp; basil is 1/2 tsp; cheese is Velveeta or American slices
