STRAWBERRY NUT SALAD | |
2 pkg. strawberry flavored gelatin 1 c. boiling water 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced strawberries (thawed) 1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can crushed pineapple (drained) 3 med. bananas (mashed) 1 c. coarsely chopped nuts 1 pt. sour cream 1 head lettuce Day before: Combine gelatin with boiling water stirring until dissolved. Fold in all at once strawberries with juice, pineapple, bananas and nuts. Pour 1/2 mixture into 12 x 8 inch baking dish as first layer. Refrigerate until firm. Spread with sour cream. Gently spoon on rest of strawberry mixture. Refrigerate. Next day, cut dish of strawberry salad into 12 squares. Serve on lettuce leaf. |
