MARINATED FRUIT 
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. water
1/3 c. fresh lime juice
1/2 c. dry sherry or white wine

Combine sugar and water. Boil, simmer until dissolved. Remove from heat. Add lime juice and wine. Chill then pour over fruit. Make a day ahead. Use fresh grapes, peaches, apples, can pineapple, bananas, melons, blueberries, strawberries.
