ENGLISH TRIFLE 
1 pkg. Jiffy yellow cake mix
1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed
1 can (2 c.) vanilla ready-to-serve pudding
Cool Whip
Slivered almonds
Whole berries for garnish

Bake cake. Cool. Cut crosswise in half to make 8 pieces. Split each piece horizontally. Arrange half the pieces in a 2-quart bowl, cutting pieces to fit. Pour half the strawberries over. Spread with half the pudding. Repeat. Cover. Chill 8 hours. Spread Cool Whip over trifle, garnish, if desired.
