PINEAPPLE NUT BARS 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, melted
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can crushed pineapple, well drained
1 c. chopped nuts or
1 c. shredded coconut, or both
1 1/2 c. flour
Powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 14x10x2-inch pan. Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift dry ingredients; stir into batter alternately with pineapple. Add nuts and coconut and mix well.

Pour into prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes. Cool; cut into 2 x 1 1/2 inch bars. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes 3 dozen.
