SHRIMP CREOLE 
3 green onions, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 pods garlic, minced
1/2 bell pepper, chopped
1 tbsp. parsley flakes
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 (8 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1 can mushroom steak sauce
1-2 lb. shrimp
1 tsp. granulated sugar
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. red pepper
Salt to taste
2 tbsp. seafood seasoning
2 c. water

ROUX:

1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. flour

Make roux by browning, stirring constantly. Add fresh vegetables and garlic. Saute. Add Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice. Add tomato sauce, mushrooms, steak sauce, stewed tomatoes and water. Add all seasonings. Cook for 30 minutes. Add peeled and deveined shrimp. Cook 10 minutes and serve. Serve over rice.
