TEXAS RANCH CAKE 
4 tbsp. cocoa
2 sticks butter
1 c. water
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Bring to boil the butter, water, and cocoa. Stir until dissolved. Pour water mixture over flour. Add soda, vanilla, buttermilk, and eggs. Mix well. Pour into shallow pan (jelly roll pan or 11 x 14 inch size). Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Prepare icing 5 minutes before cake is done. Pour over cake while still hot.

ICING:

1 stick butter
1/3 c. milk
1 c. chopped nuts
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring to boil the butter, cocoa, and milk. Mix in powdered sugar. Add nuts and vanilla.
