MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
6 qts. popped popcorn
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
1/4 c. dark corn syrup
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Mix butter, corn syrup, brown sugar and salt in a microwavable dish (one that is easy to pour from). Microwave, uncovered, on High for 2 1/2 minutes. Stir. Cook another 2 minutes on High. Next add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda; stir well. It will get foamy. Place popped popcorn in a clean large brown paper grocery bag. Pour the mixture over the popcorn and stir to mix. Microwave 1 1/2 minutes on high. Shake bag. Cook 1 1/2 minutes on High. Shake bag. Cook 1/2 minute on High. Shake bag. Pour out onto wax paper to cool.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
