SPICED APPLES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1 c. water
1/2 c. red cinnamon hots candy
2 sticks cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. whole cloves
1 1/2 tsp. whole allspice
1 lb. apples, cored & sliced

Combine all ingredients, except apples in 2 quart casserole. Cook in microwave oven, covered on Full Power for 10 minutes or until mixture boils and candies are dissolved. Add apples. Cook in microwave oven, covered, on Full Power for 3 minutes or until apples are tender. Place apples in separate container. Remove spices from syrup. Pour syrup over apples and refrigerate.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
