CALIFORNIA CASSEROLE 
2 tsp. butter
1 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 tsp. sugar
2 c. tomato sauce
8 oz. flat noodles
6 green onions
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. Cheddar cheese

Brown meat in butter. Crush garlic in meat; add salt, pepper, sugar, and tomato sauce; simmer. Cook noodles. Chop onions and mix with sour cream and cream cheese. In greased casserole dish, put a layer of noodles. Spread with green onion mixture. Cover with layer of meat sauce. Repeat layers and sprinkle with grated Cheddar cheese. Bake 25 to 30 minutes in 350 degree oven.
