BLACK WALNUT POUND CAKE | |
1 c. butter or Crisco 2 c. sugar 1 c. buttermilk 3 c. plain flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 3 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring 1/2 tsp. walnut flavoring 2 c. chopped walnuts Cream butter and sugar, mix dry ingredients; add eggs last and beat well; add flavoring and nuts; pour in well greased and floured tube pan. Place in cold oven; turn heat on 350 degrees for 10 minutes, reduce heat to 325 degrees and cook for 1 hour. |
