SUNDAY GLAZED CARROTS 
1 lb. carrots (6 to 8 med.)
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp. cold water
1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. pecans, coarsely chopped

Wash and cut carrots into 1/2 inch diagonally slices. Place in 1 quart casserole with butter and brown sugar. Cover. Microwave at High 9 to 11 minutes, stirring after 5 minutes.

Mix water and cornstarch until smooth. Stir into carrots. Add pecans. Cover. Microwave at High 2 to 4 minutes, until thickened. Stir before serving.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
