APPLE DANISH 
Pastry:

3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 egg yolk
1/2 c. milk

Filling:

6 c. apples, sliced and peeled
1 1/2 c. white sugar
1/4 c. butter, melted
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon

Glaze:

1 egg white
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
2 to 3 tsp. water

In mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Combine egg yolk and milk and add to flour mixture. Stir just until dough clings. Divide dough in half. Spread onto 10 x 15 pan. Spoon filling on top. Roll out remainder of dough and spread over apples.

Bake at 375°F for 40 minutes.
