CHICKEN POT PIE | |
1/2 c. butter, melted 1 c. milk 3 c. diced chicken, cooked 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 (16 oz.) can green peas 3 tbsp. flour 3 c. chicken broth 1/2 tsp. salt 1 (16 oz.) can mixed vegetables 2 frozen pie shells Combine butter and flour in a saucepan over low heat gradually add chicken broth and milk stirring constantly until smooth and thickened. You may have to add extra flour to make mixture become well thickened. Stir in chicken, salt, pepper, mixed vegetables and peas; mix well. Pour goody into pie shell. Roll other pie crust to 1/8 inch thickness, cut into strips 1 inch wide and arrange in lattice design over chicken mixture. Makes enough goody for 2 pies. Oven 350 degrees for 30 minutes. |
