TEXAS CREAM OF POTATO SOUP 
3 c chopped peeled potatoes
1/2 c sliced carrots
8 oz. bacon (cooked crisp and crumbled)
1 c chopped onion
1/2 c celery
2 c light cream
1 c American cheese
1/4 tsp. garlic
salt/pepper to taste
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 c milk

Simmer for 30 minutes.
