BUTTERSCOTCH/APPLE OR PEACH
CRISP
 
1/2 c. brown sugar (firmly packed)
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg
1/4 c. butter
1 can peach halves, or if using apples - enough to cover bottom of baking dish

Start oven at 375 degrees. Grease medium baking dish.

Mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cut in butter (to size of a pea). Place peach halves or apples in bottom of pan. Sprinkle with sugar mixture. Bake for 30 minutes (375 degrees). Serve warm with cream.

This is how my mother made apple crisp! So yummy, and no oats! YAY!
We had it warm topped with butter pecan ice cream!
