ALMOST LIKE HARDEES BISCUITS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 tbsp. warm water
5 c. self-rising flour
2 tbsp. white sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. melted butter

Dissolve yeast in extremely warm water. Add sugar and set aside. Mix flour, baking soda, cut in shortening. Mix buttermilk and yeast and water mixture. Add to flour mixture. Stir until moistened. Refrigerate overnight.

Sprinkle with flour. Knead 4-5 times and roll out 1/2 thick. Brush cookie sheet with melted butter. Cut with biscuit cutter and place on pan. Brush with melted butter. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. Brush again with melted butter.
