KIMMISH BREAD (Walnut Bread)
Nonstick spray coating (Pam)
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. cooking oil (I use Canola oil)
1/2 c. egg beaters (or 3 eggs)
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. anise seed
1 c. chopped walnuts

Spray a large baking sheet with Pam. Set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat sugar, oil and eggs until well blended. Add flour, salt and anise seed. Beat until well mixed. Stir in nuts.

Divide dough in half. On wax paper - shape each half of dough into two 12 x 3 inch loaves. (Note: Dough will be sticky. Spray hands with Pam before shaping.) Place on prepared baking sheet. Flatten dough slightly.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool about 10 minutes. Using a serrated knife cut each log into 1/2 inch slices. Place one cut size down on baking sheet.

Bake in a 300 degree oven for about 10 minutes. Turn slices over; bake 5-10 minutes longer or until crisp and dry. Cool completely on wire racks. Makes 24 slices.
