ITALIAN SHELLS CASSEROLE 
1 lb. med. size macaroni shells
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 pt. marinara sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. sour cream
1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese
1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Provolone cheese

Cook macaroni shells until firm. rinse and drain. Brown ground beef in pan. Add salt and pepper. Stir in marinara sauce. Simmer 20 minutes. Using a 9 x 13 inch pan, line bottom with half the cooked macaroni shells. Cover the shells with half the meat sauce. Spread half the sour cream lightly over the sauce. Sprinkle with half the Provolone cheese, then half the Mozzarella cheese. Repeat 2nd layer in same order. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake 20 minutes more. Casserole is ready when the top cheese is melted and lightly browned. Serves 6 to 8.
