CHOCOLATE FROSTING (GOOD ON "THE
BEST" BROWNIES)
 
1/4 c. melted shortening
1/2 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. parve milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. confectioners sugar

Combine melted shortening, cocoa, and salt. Then add milk and vanilla. Mix in sugar in 3 parts. Mix until smooth and creamy. (Add more sugar to thicken or milk to thin to obtain a good spreading consistency.)

Frosts two 8 or 9 inch layers in a 13 x 9 inch cake.
