AUNT SUE'S APPLE COBBLER | |
1/2 c. sugar (A) 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 5 apples, cored, sliced 1 c. flour 1 c. sugar (B) 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 egg, beaten 1 c. sour cream 1/3 c. butter, melted 3/4 c. walnuts, chopped (optional) Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place apple slices in bottom of 9 x 13 inch greased pan. Mix sugar (A) and cinnamon together in small bowl, sprinkle mixture over apples (sprinkle optional chopped walnuts, if desired). Mix flour, sugar (B), salt and baking soda together well. Combine melted butter, sour cream and egg in large bowl, mixing well. Add dry, mixture all at once and mix until smooth. Pour over apples. Bake about 50 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. |
