BEROKS (GERMAN) 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lg. cabbage, chopped
Salt & pepper to taste
1 c. water

Cook all of the above together.

2 c. water (warm)
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
4 tbsp. shortening
1 egg
7 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in water. Add all the last ingredients together except the flour. Mix well. Add half the flour, beat well, and add the rest of the flour. Knead dough and place in bowl in the refrigerator for about two hours. Roll in thin circles. Place meat mixture in the center. Pinch together. Let rise for 15 minutes. Bake 25 minutes on a cookie sheet at 375 degrees. Great!
