1 stick butter
2 tbsp. vegetable shortening
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. Gerber dry cereal
1 c. raisins
1 c. pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together flour, salt, soda. Mix in cereal and set aside. Blend shortening and sugar. Add vanilla and water. Beat in egg. Add cereal mixture and blend well. Add raisins and nuts. Drop well rounded teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes.
