EGG NOG | |
One dozen eggs -- separated 3 cups sugar 2 quarts milk 1 quart of cream (heavy whipping cream) 1 fifth whiskey 1/2 pt rum Beat egg yolks, add sugar -- beat until lemon colored. Pour milk and cream into a bowl. Stir into the egg yolk and sugar mixture. Beat until thoroughly mixed. Add whiskey and rum slowly beating rapidly as you pour. Beat egg whites until stiff, gently fold into the other mixture. Leave some in reserve to float on top. Maybe garnished with nutmeg on top if desired. Mmmmmm! |
