NEVER FAIL POUND CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
1 tsp. extract: vanilla, lemon or orange

Mix together until fluffy. Bake in tube or assorted pans at 300 degrees for 1 hour or until well done.
