KIMA (PAKISTAN) 
1 c. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
3 tbsp. butter
1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
1 tbsp. curry powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt, optional)
Dash of pepper
1 sm. can stewed tomatoes or 2 fresh tomatoes, diced
2 potatoes, diced
1 pkg. frozen peas, broken apart
Flaked coconut, optional

Preheat electric skillet to 360 degrees. Cook onion and garlic in butter until tender. Brown beef. Stir in curry powder, salt, pepper, tomatoes and potatoes; cover. Reduce temperature to 250 degrees; simmer for about 20 minutes. Add peas, simmer until peas are done but not overcooked. Sprinkle with coconut; serve with rice. Yield: 6 servings.
