CANDY KISSES 
3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
4 sq. graham crackers, crumbled
1 tbsp. grated orange peel

Heat oven to 275 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with aluminum foil. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar in small mixer bowl until foamy. Beat in brown sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time; continue beating until stiff and glossy (do not underbeat).

Fold in crackers and orange peel. Drop meringue by tablespoonfuls 1 1/2 inches apart onto baking sheets. Bake 10 minutes. Turn off oven; leave meringues in oven with door closed at least 8 hours. Remove form oven; finish cooling away from draft. (4 dozen confections, less than 50 calories for 3.)
