4 c. flour 2 c. butter (4 sticks) 1 c. sour cream 4 egg yolks, slightly beaten Cream butter and eggs, then add sour cream and mix well, then add flour. Knead to a stiff dough. Roll out thin and cut in squares. Put a small amount of filling in center and roll up. Brush with egg whites, using pastry brush before baking. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in 400 degree oven. Cool completely. Put in plastic bag and shake with powdered sugar. FILLING: 1 1/4 c. ground nuts 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. almond extract 1 sm. jar apricot or peach preserves Mix. |
