PORK CHOPS AND RICE 
4-6 pork chops
1 bell pepper, cut in strips
1 onion, sliced
1 can stewed tomatoes
1/2 c. rice

Brown pork chops in skillet with 2 tablespoons shortening. Add pepper, onion and tomatoes. Add enough water to cover well. Add rice. Heat to boiling, cover and reduce heat. Cook for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
