3 lb. peaches, pitted
2 c. sugar
8 inches lemon peel
6 inches cinnamon sticks
6 whole cloves
1 qt. vodka or bourbon

Put all ingredients in 1 gallon glass jar with screw-top lid. Rotate jar daily until sugar has dissolved. Let stand 4 months. Strain and bottle.
