OATMEAL COOKIES | |
1 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 1 c. brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. baking soda 2 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 2 c. quick cooking rolled oats 1 c. chopped pecans Cream shortening and sugars. Add egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, salt, and soda; add to cream mixture. Stir in oatmeal and pecans. Roll into balls using 2 level teaspoons of dough. Place on greased cookie sheets. Press each ball with fork. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen. |
