CHICKEN OR BEEF PAPRIKASH (STEW) 
1 1/2 - 2 lb. beef cubes or 1 lg. chicken, cut up
2 tbsp. oil
1 onion, cut up
2 tbsp. paprika to taste
Water
Salt and pepper to taste

Brown beef or chicken in oil; remove. Add onions to pot; cook until soft. Add paprika; mix all, add meat and cook 2 to 3 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add enough water to almost cover meat. Simmer until meat is tender (about 2 hours for beef, 1 hour for chicken). Serve with boiled potatoes (or noodles) and salad. Serves about 4 people.
