CHICKEN CACCIATORA 
1/4 c. olive oil
1 chicken, cut up
2 onions, sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 c. Italian tomatoes (1 lb. can)
1 can tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. crushed dried oregano
2 bay leaves
1/2 c. dry white wine
1 tsp. leaf basil
1/2 tsp. thyme
Green pepper, chopped

Heat oil in deep skillet. Brown chicken in oil. Remove chicken. Cook onions and garlic in oil until tender. Add other ingredients (except wine) and blend. Cook for 5 minutes. Return chicken to pot, cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Add wine and some Parmesan cheese. Cook for 15 minutes. Serve with noodles or spaghetti.
