CHOCOLATE HAYSTACKS II 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 stick butter
1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. quick oats
1 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Combine sugar, cocoa, milk, butter and salt in saucepan; cook to soft ball stage. Remove from heat; add oatmeal, coconut, vanilla and nuts. Mix well. Drop from spoon onto waxed paper. Cool. Yields 4-5 dozen.
