SHOO-FLY PIE (DRY RECIPE) 
1 c. molasses
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix above. Cool slightly before adding soda. 1 c. brown sugar 3/4 c. lard or Crisco (I use butter flavored)

Mix into crumbs. Pour molasses and water mixture into unbaked pie crust. Put crumbs on top. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. This makes three 8-inch pies.

Some people mix crumbs and molasses mixture together and then pour into pie shell. Good for dunking.
