CHRISTMAS COOKIES 
1 stick butter
1/2 box light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. flour (self-rising)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 lb. candied red cherries
3 slices candied green pineapple

Cream butter and sugar. Then add eggs, flour and vanilla to mixture. Grease a 9 x 13 inch shallow pan and spread 2 cups chopped nuts in pan. Spread batter over nuts. Cut up 1/2 pound red candied cherries and 3 slices candied green pineapple on top of batter. Bake for 1 hour at 300 degrees. Cut in squares while warm.
