EASY GINGER COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
1 egg
2 tbsp. molasses
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and mix well, then add molasses and stir. Sift together the dry ingredients and add to the wet mixture. Mix well. Chill for about two hours. Roll in balls the size of walnuts. Roll in granulated sugar. Bake in oven for 12 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes about 3 dozen.
