FROGMORE STEW | |
1/2 bushel of crabs 5 lbs. shrimp 20 half ears of corn 5 lbs. ham, cut into bite-size chunks 5 lbs. sausage, cut into inch or 2" sections 10 lbs. potatoes, cut in half or 4 pieces (as desired) 30 gal. boiling pot with steaming basket Fill pot with 3 inches of water and bring to a boil. Add plenty of seasoning (as for crab boil - cayenne pepper, etc..), add ham, sausage, potatoes, and corn first. Let them boil for about 5 minutes. Then add the crabs. Put the shrimp on top and add some crab or shrimp boil seasonings on top. Cover and steam for another 10 minutes. Check every now and then. When it is done, lift basket out of boiling pot and dump contents on big platters and eat. VFA 125 FRAMP AMS/H |
