SHEPHERD'S PIE 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 (16 oz.) can green beans
1 can tomato soup
6 potatoes
3 slices American cheese
1 sm. onion

Make mashed potatoes (can use leftovers). Chop onion. In large frying pan, brown ground beef and drain. Add drained green beans and onion and soup; stir and simmer.

In square pan, spread meat mixture on bottom. Spread mashed potatoes evenly over meat. Place strips of American or Cheddar cheese over potatoes. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees until cheese melts. Serve with salad and Italian bread. Can prepare ahead of time. Can use 250 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours, if needed.
