FRY BREAD 
3 c. flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. shortening

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Work until thoroughly mixed. Add warm water, 1/4 cup at a time and knead several minutes, until dough has smooth texture. Let stand in a warm place for 30 minutes. Form dough into 2 inch balls and shape round and flat with hands, about 6 inches in diameter. Drop into hot deep fat, turning once, until both sides are light golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
