BAY LEAF TOMATO SOUP 
1 tbsp. butter or Crisco
1 peck tomatoes
3 sm. bay leaves
10 med. onions
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 qt. boiling water
6 tbsp. cornstarch
4 tbsp. salt
6 tbsp. sugar

Boil first 5 ingredients together in the water. Mix together cornstarch, salt, and sugar. Add cornstarch mixture and bring to a boil and put in jars.
