GLAZED STEWED FRUIT 
6 c. sliced, peeled apples or fresh peaches
Juice of 1 orange or 1 lemon
3 c. water
3 c. sugar
1 stick butter
Dash of cinnamon & nutmeg

Put fruit, juice, sugar, water and butter on and boil until fruit is tender. Place in a casserole, sprinkle with more sugar and spices, and bake until glazed and candied.
