PUMPKIN BREAD 
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. corn oil
2 c. pumpkin
1 c. water
1 c. chopped nuts
1 lb. chopped dates or 1 c. raisins

Sift together flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, baking powder, soda, and salt in a bowl. Mix together in another bowl the sugar, eggs, corn oil, pumpkin, and water. Add nuts and dates or raisins to the flour mixture. Mix flour mixture into sugar mixture. Mix well. Pour into 2 (1 pound) loaf pans or a bundt pan which has been greased and floured. Bake 1 1/2 hours in a 325 degree oven.

This recipe is good without icing; however, if you prefer icing, use a Brown Sugar Frosting.
