1 qt. sweet milk 1 c. sugar 1 c. shortening 1 pkg. yeast 2 tbsp. warm water Put milk in a big pan and bring to a boil. Add sugar and shortening and let cool until lukewarm. Add yeast that has been dissolved in warm water. Add enough flour until it looks like cake dough. Cover with cloth and let it rise for 2 hours. Put in a big tray about 1/2 sifter of flour, 1 tablespoon salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon baking powder. Pour the dough into tray and mix with the flour. Mix well then put in a bowl and put oil on top and cover good and put in the refrigerator. Roll out the amount you want. Let rise for 2 hours. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. |
