OLD FASHIONED CRISSCROSS COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. creamy peanut butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar (firmly packed)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine butter, peanut butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs, and beat until light and fluffy. Sift the dry ingredients and add to the butter mixture, blend thoroughly. Shape into one inch balls and place about 2 inchs apart on a baking sheet. Flatten with fork tines in a crisscross patter. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.

Makes 6 to 8 dozen.
