PECAN PIE SURPRISE BARS 
CRUST:

1 pkg. yellow cake mix (not pudding in mix)
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 egg

FILLING:

2/3 c. reserved cake mix
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
3 eggs

Grease bottom and sides of 13"x9" baking pan. Reserve 2/3 cup dry cake mix for filling. In large mixing bowl, combine remaining dry cake mix, butter and 1 egg; mix until crumbly, press in prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes until light brown.
